Repairing damaged veneer - Part 1 Some of the pieces I've been working on lately have such beautiful natural wood and wood veneers. It seems such a shame to cover the beautiful wood in paint so I've been learning how to restore the wood or the veneer and how to bring it back to life! This bureau is in decent condition, and thankfully the parts I want to leave wood are definitely salvageable. These pictures show the damage on the bottom drawer. I've managed to cut around the broken veneer, replace it with a new piece of veneer and blend it into the original using acrylic paints.
Stay tuned for photos of the finished drawer - I hope I've managed to blend it in well enough!
